The Jesuit Archvies & Research Center (JARC) invites applications for the role of Digital Archivist. Reporting to the Director of JARC, this hire will join a team in accessioning, acquiring, describing, processing, preserving, and providing access to records in its archival collections. In developing a digital program, the archivist will continue the creation of policies and procedures to assist in the management of born-digital and digitized records for JARC. They will thus serve as a resource for the archives, patrons, administrative offices, religious superiors, and individual Jesuits.

The Jesuit Archives & Research Center (JARC) invites applications for the role of Records Manager. The Records Manager (RM) works as part of our team to maintain records of the Jesuits and serves as a resource for administrative offices, religious superiors, and individual Jesuits. The selected candidate will have experience as a records manager and will play a critical role in establishing workflows and policies of the position. Reporting to the Director of the Jesuit Archives & Research Center, the RM serves as the primary point of contact for the ongoing assessment, design, maintenance and evaluation of records and the records management program.

The Jesuit Archives & Research Center (JARC) invites applications for the role of part-time Receptionist to provide administrative and operational support within our offices. The Receptionist welcomes guests to the archives in person and by phone; directs patrons to the appropriate office or staff member; accepts mail and other deliveries; maintains a guestbook and security awareness. The Receptionist reports to the Director of the Jesuit Archives with many tasks and duties assigned to them by the Administrative Assistant.

The Jesuit Archives & Research Center (JARC) invites applications for the role of part-time student worker. in the academic year 2022-2023. The position is for a minimum 10 hours and maximum 20 hours a week during JARC’s hours of 8:30 and 4:30, Monday through Friday, and pays $13 an hour. The successful candidate would begin in September and end in May, working around their class schedule and school breaks. Student workers report to the Archivist for Collection Management.

Internships

The Jesuit Archives & Research Center (JARC) invites applications for a part-time intern for the 2022-0223 academic year.  The position is for a minimum 10 hours and maximum 20 hours a week during JARC’s hours of 8:30 and 4:30, Monday through Friday, and pays $15 an hour.  The successful candidate would begin in October and end in May, working around their class schedule and other obligations. The primary goal of this internship is to complete a mutually agreeable project or projects; should the intern complete their project before the end of the semester they have the option to finish the semester at JARC working on other archival tasks if desired or to simply end their time at JARC. Interns report to the Archivist for Collection Management.
