The Jesuit Archives & Research Center, Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus, and Saint Louis University are proud to announce the release of a complete digital version of Woodstock Letters. At this link, you will find the chronological arrangement of the volumes. An index, albeit incomplete, is available for research.

The print version of Woodstock Letters comprises almost 50,000 pages and occupies 13 feet of shelf space. Approximately 45 libraries list the serial in their collections. In addition, several institutions have microfilm or microfiche editions.

Woodstock College and the Maryland Province circulated Woodstock Letters among Jesuits and their institutions in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The publication offers detailed accounts of events, institutions, ideas, and persons from 1872 to 1969. The various issues include historical articles, updates on work being done by the Jesuits, eyewitness accounts of historic events, book reviews, obituaries, enrollment statistics for Jesuit schools, and other items of interest to the Society. It provides an invaluable record of the work done by American Jesuits. The project thus contributes to preserving and delivering a valuable resource to countless users in the academic world.
