The Jesuit Archives & Research Center will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2019, for Labor Day.
The Jesuit Archives & Research Center is open for use as a general study space. The study spaces are available from 10am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays and JARC events. Such closures will be posted on this page. Guidelines regarding the use of the Jesuit Archives as a study space can be read here.
Fifth Annual Jesuit Student Research Symposium
Together with the History Department and the Office of Mission and Identity at Saint Louis University, the Jesuit Archives & Research Center hosted the fifth annual Jesuit Student Research Symposium on April 26, 2019. This year’s keynote speaker was Fr. Sean Dempsey, SJ. The schedule of events may be viewed here.
This year’s symposium explored the history of Jesuit engagement with, and influence on, American culture. Undergraduate and graduate students presented on topics that addressed any time period or discipline, including but not limited to history, music, theater, science, higher education, and exploration. Blessing and Dedication of the Jesuit Archives & Research Center
